Position Overview:

The Database Associate is responsible for maintaining the CRM Data Integrity. As a key member of the Finance and Operations team, the Database Associate ensures our data is correct and providing business value. To achieve this function the Database Associate will be responsible for importing and updating key data and validating data entered by other users. This role requires a strong attention to detail, processes, and organization. The Database Associate reports to the Technology Systems Manager.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for system wide data integrity and quality control.
  • Perform audits to ensure quality processes exist and are being adhered to within CRM and other systems as needed.
  • Actively communicate quality issues with regards to the way data is collected, stored, processed or used.
  • Facilitate data import, migration and update projects including constituent updates, event registration, and recurring database projects.
  • Provide assistance to the Technology Systems Manager in managing CRM including managing backups and creating users.
  • Manage and create technical documentation and trainings.
  • Provide high-quality and timely support and triage tickets.
  • Build reports, marketing lists and Dashboards as requested
  • Maintain schedule of recurring task for the database and IT team.
  • Collaborate effectively internally and externally to plan and build technical projects
  • Work closely with fundraising team members, accounts receivable staff, and the data analytics staff to assist with data entry and data extraction.
  • Manage vendors, projects and other integrations to the CRM.
  • Remain current on industry best practices, technology advanced and data management methodology.
  • Provide strong and effective communication skills to all levels of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of data quality control, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
  • Experience with database management required; experience with Blackbaud products preferred.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel with more advanced data manipulation tools such as pivot tables and vlookups.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to use discretion and appropriate safeguards with confidential data.
  • Able to work productively with a wide array of people and provide a superior constituent experience.
  • A confident and professional work style; must have the ability to work independently and to exercise good judgment in stressful circumstances.
  • Experience with, and curiosity about, trying new technologies and testing to learn and improve our work.
